The library can't know her grandson's name, her church or her favorite show. Her own words is where the family puts them. In the menu it sits under Communicate, right after the Phrase Library, named after her: Debbie's words (her, his or their words until a name is set). Every word says who added it and when.
Add a word by typing it, or start from a template: Call ___, I want my ___, Put on ___ and Where is ___?. On the family's device the names on My People are right there to fill the blank, so Call ___ becomes Call my daughter, Ann. A word can be up to 140 characters, can have a picture (an emoji), and goes into a group. The family names the groups; My people, My places, My shows and My needs are offered to start.
Her own words come first: at the top of the Phrase Library and on the Speak tab of Communicate, just under What you want to say, ahead of a condition mode's own phrases, in every mode. Search finds them too, in the library's search box and on the Search page. One tap says the words out loud in her voice, the cloned voice when one is set. On Communicate, Save to Debbie's words adds whatever is in What you want to say.
Who can change them: the account owner and anyone with the caregiver role add, edit, reorder, group and archive any word. A speech therapist (SLP) on the care team adds words from the link on the care-team dashboard, Add words to Debbie's library, and can edit the words that login added; the family can archive any of them. Other members of the care team, and family and friends accounts, cannot add or change them. Archived words leave her screens and wait under Archived, where they can be restored.
Messages she had already saved as favorites on Communicate are copied into her own words once, under the group Saved messages, and they stay in her favorites as well. Nothing that was saved is removed.
