Parkinson's

Parkinson's can make the voice soft. It doesn't make it matter less.

Parkinson's disease affects movement — and speech is movement. A quieter voice, a flatter tone, words that run together and a face that shows less expression mean people are misread as uninterested or confused when they are neither. ExpressAgain speaks a tapped phrase clearly and at full volume, keeps medication times and symptoms in one place, and keeps the family and care team coordinated as needs change.

What Parkinson's Does to Speech

Not less to say. Harder to get it across.

Most people with Parkinson's notice changes in speech and voice at some point. The pattern has a name — hypokinetic dysarthria — and it is about muscles and timing, not intelligence. Over years some people also develop changes in thinking; many do not. Either way, being asked “what?” all day wears a person down, and many simply stop talking. That is the part ExpressAgain is for.

A quieter voice

Many people speak more softly than they realize (hypophonia) and are asked to repeat themselves all day.

A flatter, faster rhythm

Less rise and fall, words that rush together or trail off, and a face that shows less expression — so people misread mood and interest.

Slower word-finding

Thinking speed and word retrieval can slow, especially when tired or when a dose is wearing off. The thought is there; it arrives late.

Hands that shake

Tremor, stiffness and small handwriting make phones and pens frustrating. Big, forgiving buttons matter.

Why It Works

One tap, a whole sentence, at a volume everyone hears.

When the voice is soft or a word is slow to arrive, a tapped phrase carries the message the first time — the person stays in the conversation instead of retreating from it. And because Parkinson's is managed hour by hour with medication, ExpressAgain keeps the dose times, the symptoms and the day's routine where the whole circle can see them. Speech therapy still does the hard, good work of keeping the voice strong; ExpressAgain is the voice for the moments in between.

Inside ExpressAgain for Parkinson's

Built for the hour-by-hour of Parkinson's.

Heard at Full Volume

Tap or highlight a phrase and ExpressAgain says it clearly and loudly enough for the whole table — no repeating, no leaning in.

Made for Tremor

Button size, text size and a dominant-hand layout are adjustable in Settings, so a shaky hand still lands the tap.

Medication Timing

In Parkinson's a late dose can mean a hard hour. Prescriptions keeps every medication, its times per day and each dose logged, visible to the family and the care team.

Symptoms Over Time

Log falls, dizziness, sleep, pain and mood in Health Tracking and hand the neurologist a printable Care Team Report instead of trying to remember the month.

Her Day

Routine is medicine. The day’s blocks — meds, meals, exercise, rest — laid out for whoever is helping, under the person’s own name.

Practice Out Loud

Loud, deliberate speech is real Parkinson’s therapy. Practice the phrases your speech therapist assigns — repeat after me, never graded.

Who It's For

For the person, the family, and the team around them.

For the person with Parkinson's

Keep your place in the conversation. Say the whole sentence with one tap when your voice is soft or the word is slow to come, and stay in charge of your own care.

For the family

Stop guessing at mood from a face that shows less. Keep medication times, symptoms and the routine where everyone can see them, and share the good days in the Family Feed.

For the care team

Neurology, speech, physical and occupational therapy, and home health each join with a per-discipline code, see the same medication list and the same notes, and assign practice between visits.

Still Fully Here

The person inside is fully there.

A soft voice and a still face are the disease, not the person. Their humor, their opinions and their love for the people around them have not gone anywhere. Giving them a way to be heard the first time is one of the kindest things a family can do — for them, and for itself.

ExpressAgain is a communication and care-coordination tool, not a medical device or treatment, and nothing here is medical advice. For diagnosis, treatment, and care decisions, always talk with your medical team.

Keep them in the conversation.
