For laboratories and mobile phlebotomy

The home draw, on the family's calendar. With the time, the address and what to prepare.

Families already run the patient's care in ExpressAgain. Your visit is an appointment on the patient's Schedule that the professionals in the home can see, and the door is on the family's list. For results and documents, we tell you plainly what is built and what we set up with you.

In the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install.

Your visit, today

Before you ring the bell, the family has it written down.

A homebound patient's draw is easy to miss: the wrong door, nobody there to let you in, a patient who ate breakfast. These three things are in the family's app today, with nothing to set up on your side.

The draw is an appointment on the patient's Schedule

Booked as a Lab or imaging visit, with the time, the address and what to prepare.

    How it works

Under ID Care Plan, Appointments, the family books your visit as a Lab or imaging appointment: who it is with, the day and time, where (the home address, with directions a tap away), your office phone, the reason, and what to prepare, such as fasting from midnight or the medication list. It is on the patient's Schedule the moment it saves, nothing else can be booked over it, and the family gets an email the day before. The aide or nurse on shift sees the same appointment on the care dashboard's Today door, Schedule tab, with what to prepare, read-only. After the visit the family writes what happened and when the next one is.

Your lab, as a card on the Care Team page

Your lab's name, phone and address on one card, and the next visit booked from it.

    How it works

The family keeps your lab as a contact card under Doctors, nurses and clinics, ticked This is a clinic, office or hospital: one name, a phone to tap and call, the address. From the card's Next visit, Put it on the calendar books the appointment with your lab's name and address already filled in, and the card then shows the day and time. A contact card is a name and a number, never a login.

Door access for a visiting professional

The family lists your phlebotomist with a temporary code, and is reminded to check it is gone.

    How it works

On the Door access card the family can add someone else, such as the phlebotomist who comes to the house, mark Has a code as Temporary until the day of the draw, and get a reminder once that day has passed: check it's gone. The code itself stays in the lock's own app. The list never holds a code, and refuses anything typed into it that looks like one. Codes kept inside ExpressAgain's House entry are for the professionals on the patient's Home Team.

Built for fewer trips to a door nobody can open, and fewer draws where nobody knew how to prepare. A pilot measures these with you, with the families you already serve.

Results and documents

How results and documents can reach the family.

Each path below is built in the app. Each says plainly whether it is live today, switched on per deployment, or set up with our team for a lab that asks.

Results in the patient's own chart, read by the family

What the patient portal shares shows under Labs & vitals in Doctor's Records, read-only.

    How it works

When a result is filed in the patient's chart at an Epic hospital or an eClinicalWorks practice, and the family has connected that patient portal (MyChart or healow), it shows under Labs & vitals in Doctor's Records, read-only and marked with where it came from. The connection is authorized by the patient or the family and can be disconnected any time. The family can add a glucose, blood pressure or weight value from there to Health Tracking, where it is noted as from the doctor's records, and the care team reads the same records on its dashboard. Doctor's Records appears once the Epic and eClinicalWorks registrations are complete for the deployment; until then the page says Not set up yet.

An HL7 results feed from your lab

ORU^R01 results for a linked patient, filed under Labs & vitals with your lab's name.

    How it works

If your lab sends results as HL7 v2 ORU^R01 messages, the app side is built to receive them: each result, with its LOINC code, units, reference range and flags, is filed for the one patient whose family linked your facility code and the patient's ID, and shows under Labs & vitals in Doctor's Records with your lab's name on it. Nothing is ever matched by name or date of birth. The interface engine runs on our side and is not running for any lab today: it is set up with our team for a lab that asks, after a signed BAA.

Send a document into the family's app

With the family's grant, your system posts a PDF that lands on their sharing card.

    How it works

A family that uses your lab types your six-character share code under Settings, Share with an organization, sees your name and ticks what you may do. With Send documents ticked, your system can post a PDF of up to 5 MB through the Partner API, and it lists under Documents they sent on that card. Nothing is shared until the family says so, the family can revoke at any time, and every call is logged. Keys are issued only after a signed BAA.

    Cover a family's access as a laboratory

Your lab can be the party that pays for a patient's access, named on the family's Billing page.

    How it works

A sponsorship is one party paying for one family's access, and Laboratory is one of its kinds. Our team records it; while it is active the family is not asked to pay for what it covers, and the Billing page names your lab. A health plan's sponsorship comes first when there is one. If a sponsorship ends, a grace period keeps the family's circle open, and nothing they recorded is ever taken away.

    On a practice's partner list

A practice on ExpressAgain can list your lab as a partner, and its providers see it on the patient.

    How it works

A practice that uses ExpressAgain can keep your lab on its Partners list with the type Lab, what you do for the practice and your main contact. A family whose care the practice follows can mark your card Works with that practice and your lab, and the practice's own providers see it marked on the patient. A partner is a label, never a login, and adding one sends you nothing.

How a lab starts

Three steps, starting with one family.

  1. Talk to us

Tell us how you reach patients at home: home draws, testing at the bedside, the systems you send results through. A real person replies within one business day.

  2. Pick the path that fits

A family you already serve can book your visits and track the door today, with nothing to set up on your side. An HL7 feed or a Partner API key is set up with our team, after a signed BAA.

  3. Start with one family

One family who uses your lab and shares with you. We look at the visit, the door and the documents together, and a pilot measures what matters to you.

One team, one plan

Built for the interdisciplinary care team

An interdisciplinary care team is a group of different health professionals who work together closely with the patient and family to create a single, shared treatment plan. ExpressAgain is the platform where all of those parties care for one patient together: the same day, the same medications, the same notes, and the same record of who did what and when.
