About ExpressAgain, ready to use
Three lengths of the same description. Each opens with the founder's own definition, word for word.
One line: For a caption, a list entry or a social post.
ExpressAgain is an integrated patient care, communication, and care management platform built for people who can think, read and remember clearly but struggle to speak.
Short version: The two paragraphs every description of ExpressAgain opens with.
ExpressAgain is an integrated patient care, communication, and care management platform built for people who can think, read and remember clearly but struggle to speak, as well as people who can speak for themselves but have no safe, trusted way to show whether the care they're receiving is the care they're owed.
As an all-in-one platform, it brings patients together with the families, caregivers, nurses, therapists, physicians and agencies who care for them, so everyone works from one plan, one schedule and one shared record, from the hospital to home.
Long version: For the end of an article or a profile of the company.
The person taps or highlights what they want to say and ExpressAgain says it out loud. Around that voice, the family, the home care professionals, the clinicians and the agencies share one plan, one schedule and one record of who did what and when.
The company's mission: To empower individuals to communicate, participate in their care, and maintain greater control over their lives by connecting patients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and organizations through one accessible, coordinated, and accountable care platform.
ExpressAgain was founded by Dee Williams, who built it for Dee's mother, Debbie. It started in the hospital with aphasia, followed the family home through home care, and stayed with them through hospice: one platform from hospital, to home care, to hospice.

The founder

Dee Williams, Founder, ExpressAgain
Dee Williams is the founder of ExpressAgain.
Dee built ExpressAgain for Dee's mother, Debbie, after five lesions on the left side of Debbie's brain took Debbie's speech but not Debbie's mind. Debbie could still think, read and remember, and needed a way to say what Debbie meant.
The platform grew with the family's story: it began with aphasia in the hospital, kept going when Debbie was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive brain tumor, and came home with the family through home care and hospice.
Dee writes about that road on the ExpressAgain Blog.
“I built ExpressAgain for my mother, Debbie. Five lesions on the left side of her brain took her speech, not her mind. She still has so much to say — now she has the tools to say it.”
