How long does it take a physician practice to hear what happened at home?

Not published. No data has been collected for this study, so there is no finding to quote. When findings are published they appear on this page, at this address, with the sample size and margin of error beside every number.

The question

Between visits, how does a practice learn what happened at home (calls, portal messages, faxes from agencies), and how much of the practice team's time goes to chasing that information?

Who needs the answer: Physician practices doing chronic or transitional care management, care managers and health plans.

The method

  • A short survey of practice managers and care-management nurses.
  • Time is asked in ranges, such as 15 to 30 minutes, not exact minutes.
  • No incentive is tied to a referral or a purchase.

Sample: At least 75 practices. Under 100, results are reported as counts and ranges, never as precise percentages.

Privacy and limits

No responding practice is ever named, and no answer implies a practice uses ExpressAgain. Only aggregated, anonymized results are published, never a raw answer.

Practices that answer may be the ones most interested in the question.
