How many separate places does a family use to track one person's care?
Not published. No data has been collected for this study, so there is no finding to quote. When findings are published they appear on this page, at this address, with the sample size and margin of error beside every number.
The question
How many separate apps, portals, binders, text threads and calendars hold one person's care information: medicines, schedules, notes and bills?
Who needs the answer: Families, home care agencies, physician practices, employers and benefits brokers.
The method
- A family survey with a checklist: patient portals, the agency's app, text threads, a paper binder, a shared calendar, a pharmacy app and email.
- A short survey of agency offices asking how many ways their teams use to reach families.
Sample: At least 300 families. For agencies, at least 50, reported as counts only, never as percentages.
Privacy and limits
Anonymous answers; no agency is named. Only aggregated, anonymized results are published, never a raw answer.
A survey describes what people report, not what each family's records hold.
