For people with aphasia and the families around them
An aphasia app for adults, not a children's picture board
An aphasia app for adults has to carry adult life: the medical questions, the legal and financial details, the hard conversations, and the parts of a person that have nothing to do with being a patient. ExpressAgain's phrases, Medical Words, Signing Mode and the private vault were written for grown-ups who still make their own decisions.
What is already built
Signing Mode
Nine quiet answers on Communicate for a signing with an attorney or notary, from Yes and No to I want to talk to the attorney alone and Stop. The answers are the patient's own.

Medical Words
Every entry says what the thing is, why doctors use it and what to expect, and offers questions to ask the team with one tap. It explains words, never the patient's own case.

Important papers
The legal papers that let the family speak and act for the patient, with the state's own rules, who signs it, official links, a status and the signed copy kept private. The patient's choices are never filled in. Information, not legal advice.

My Vault
A PIN-protected space encrypted on this device only, masked until you tap Show, and never read aloud.

Today: adult phrases, Medical Words, Signing Mode, Important papers and a vault, with the patient's own login on the devices the family marks.

How it works
Create a free account: your name, email, a password and who the app is for (yourself, someone you care for, a patient, or an organization).
The guided setup takes four short steps: who the app is for and the condition mode, text and button sizes, a voice and the first people, then a review.
Tap any phrase on Communicate to say it out loud; invite family with a personal link and give each clinician or professional a code from the Care Team page.
Questions people ask
Is it free to start?
Yes. Free is where everyone starts, and communicating is never behind a paywall: tap to speak, the phrase boards, the sentence builder, Letters, the Phrase Library, lessons, Games and Play, the emergency screen, the Emergency Plan Card and the built-in voice. Free also invites 2 family members to the Family and Friends Feed. The Pricing page shows the plans side by side.
What happens after I sign up?
Sign up asks for your name, email and a password, and who the app is for. Then the guided setup takes four short steps: who the app is for and the condition mode, text and button sizes, a voice and the first people, then a review. Entering the patient's name and date of birth pins the two phrases hospitals ask for constantly.
Is it only for stroke?
Aphasia and Stroke is the core mode. The guided setup also offers ALS and Parkinson's, Dementia and Senior Care, Head, Neck and Throat, ICU and Ventilated, and Hospice and Palliative, each with its own phrases opening first.
Can the adult keep a login of their own?
Yes. The patient's own key is a second email and password on the same account, or a 5 to 10 digit number code on the devices the family marks as the patient's: tap the code and it opens.
