How to use
  1. After a reading, type the top number (systolic) and the bottom number (diastolic). Pulse and a note are optional.
  2. Check the category under the numbers. When the two numbers fall in different categories, the higher one counts.
  3. Tap Add to log. The log keeps the newest reading first and shows the average of all readings.
  4. Add the person's first and last name if you want them on the printout, then tap Print the log and bring it to the next visit.
Questions
What are the blood pressure categories?
The American Heart Association's chart for adults has Normal (under 120 and under 80), Elevated (120 to 129 and under 80), High blood pressure stage 1 (130 to 139 or 80 to 89), High blood pressure stage 2 (140 or higher or 90 or higher), and readings higher than 180 and/or higher than 120.
Which number counts when the two are in different categories?
The higher category counts. For example, 128 over 85 is stage 1, because 85 is in the stage 1 range even though 128 is in the Elevated range.
What should I do if a reading is above 180 or above 120?
The American Heart Association says to wait five minutes and measure again. If it is still that high, contact the doctor right away. If there is chest pain, shortness of breath, back pain, numbness or weakness, a change in vision or trouble speaking, call 911.
Does one high reading mean high blood pressure?
Not on its own. A diagnosis is the doctor's, made from readings taken over time. The log helps by keeping every reading in one place to share.
Is this blood pressure log private?
Yes. It runs in your browser and nothing you type is sent to ExpressAgain or saved on a server. If you turn on Remember on this device, only this browser keeps the log.
