Roles, and how people are added to an organization

Four roles — organization administrator, practice administrator, provider and staff; anyone can be added first, and everyone gets an invitation that explains their role.

An organization on ExpressAgain has four roles. An organization administrator sees every patient the organization follows, enrolls patients for any provider, runs the team, and sets up offices, the escalation window, the chart system and the billing details. A practice administrator does the same inside their own practice (they cannot make someone an organization administrator). A provider sees the patients they are primary for, covering or coordinating, enrolls patients with themselves as the primary provider, and adds a covering colleague, a care coordinator or staff to their own patients. Staff see the patients of the providers they work with and open a patient's record when a provider adds them to that patient's coverage.

Anyone can be the first person. ExpressAgain sets an organization up and adds its first person in whatever role fits — often a provider who does not run the practice, with the administrator added later. More people are added from the organization's row at ExpressAgain, or, once the agreement is signed, by the organization's administrators from Team.

Everyone added gets an invitation email that says what ExpressAgain is, what their role can do, three first steps, a button to set their password, the Help Center articles for their role and a link to book a virtual training session. If the invitation is still waiting after three days, one reminder goes out with a fresh link (the earlier link stops working); there is never a second reminder. After they set a password, a You're in email follows with a getting-started checklist. None of these emails carries anything about a patient.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the invitation email and tap Set my password and open the panel.
  2. 2Confirm your name and choose a password.
  3. 3The panel opens. Afterwards, sign in at the IDC Team sign-in with your email and that password.
