A public page for friends

The circle's owner can turn on one public page at expressagain.com/ plus a link name, from the patient's profile; it shows the profile's photo, name and About, and friends open it from a link or a QR code to join the friends circle.

The patient's name, photo and About are entered once, on the Patient Profile, and the public page reads them from there. Open the Patient Profile and go to Patient info: the photo and the first and last name are at the top, and About (a few paragraphs on who the patient is, up to 2,000 characters, with line breaks kept) is just under them. Tap Save About after typing. Only the circle's owner sees About and the public page controls.

Under About is one switch, Make the page public, with the patient's first name in it. It stays off, with a hint, until the profile has a first name; a photo and About are recommended but not required. The first time it goes on, the link name is suggested from the first and last name, in lowercase letters and numbers (Ruth Sample becomes ruthsample, with a number added when that is taken or kept for ExpressAgain), and it is saved at once. The page lives at expressagain.com/ plus the link name, and expressagain.com/p/ plus the link name opens it too.

Once the page is on, the profile shows the link with Copy link and View page, a small Change link to pick another link name (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 40 characters), the QR code with Download QR code (a 1200 pixel PNG made to be read even when part of it is covered), and Show in search engines, which starts off. A link name stays with the circle for good: nobody else can take it, even after a change or with the page off, and an older link name keeps opening the page, so a printed QR code always lands on the same patient. My People shows one line while the page is on, with a link back to the profile.

The page shows the profile's photo, the full name and About, and nothing else: nothing from the care record, the schedule, the medications or the team. Its one button, Send some love with the patient's first name in it, joins the friends circle through the circle's friends link; the person creates an account (or uses one they have) and lands on their dashboard to write a note for the Love Bucket and post on the friends feed. A text or a post of the link shows the photo and the first sentence of About. Switched off, the page says This page isn't available right now, with no name and no photo. ExpressAgain can also turn a page off.

A new Marketplace care request starts from the same profile: the first name, the age (from the date of birth, when the profile has one) and About, shortened to fit a request with a note saying so. Everything stays editable for that request. Diagnosis and the care details are typed for that one request only and seen only by the professional it went to; they never reach the profile or the public page. Also update the profile, under About on the request, stays unticked unless you tick it.
