Two ways to pay. Open Rates & Arrangements under My Care Team and tap Edit rate & rules on a professional. Under Paid, choose Hourly (hours × the rate, as before) or Per visit (a set amount for each visit). Your choice is for that professional in your home; you can change it any time, and invoices already made keep their amounts.
Visit types and their amounts. With Per visit chosen, What each visit pays lists your home's visit types: Medication visit, Routine visit and On-call visit to start. The amounts start blank, because nothing is filled in for you: type the dollar amount each visit pays and tap Save. Add a visit type adds one of your own (for example Wound care visit) with its amount. One list for your home: everyone you pay per visit is paid these amounts. A visit type with no amount shows on the invoice as not priced, so you can set it and nothing is guessed.
Putting a visit on the schedule. On Scheduling & Coverage, Add shift shows Visit type when someone you pay per visit is picked: choose the type for that shift. A Medication visit also marks the shift as one that gives medication.
Visit done. A professional paid per visit still clocks in when the visit starts. On a visit the clock's button reads Visit done instead of Clock out; it is the same tap, and the hours are recorded either way.
What completes a visit. A visit is complete when the professional taps Visit done and the logs its visit type needs are logged the same day; a Medication visit needs a medication dose logged that day. If a needed log is missing, the visit is flagged for your review like any shift with a missing item, and nothing is held: the visit is paid, and you mark it reviewed or ask for what is missing.
The invoice. Each visit is one line: the day, the times, the visit type as the description, the hours, a Units column reading 1 visit, and the amount for that visit type. Under the lines the invoice gives the period's visits, their total, the hours clocked and about what that comes to an hour, so you can compare it with an hourly rate. Editing a visit's times on an invoice never changes its amount.
The terms line. If you hired the professional through Interview & Hire as a 1099 contractor, Rates & Arrangements shows one sentence under their card: The visit fee covers the visit and its documentation unless the agreement says otherwise. If you hired them as a household employee (W-2), it shows the employee terms instead. If neither is on file, no terms line is shown.
Step by step

- 5After the visit, open the invoice: each visit is one line with its amount, and the line under the table gives the hours clocked.
