From 2 hours before a scheduled shift starts until 30 minutes after it, the professional's dashboard offers On my way. When they tap it and pick about how many minutes (10, 20, 30, 45 or 60), everyone in the family is told: Sam is on the way to Sample. About 20 minutes. If they are held up, Running late sends a new time: Sam is running late. About 10 more minutes. A professional can send On my way once and Running late at most twice for a shift.
Who is told: every family login in the home (whoever runs the account, caregivers and family members, not friends) gets a phone notification when notifications are on for their phone; it comes at night too, and the switch On my way and running late under What reaches this phone turns it off. Family members who turned texts on also get a text, within the usual limit of one text an hour; nobody who has not turned texts on is ever texted.
The Status Board shows the line at the top, Sam is on the way · about 20 minutes (sent 2:41 PM), until that professional clocks in. Each one is logged on the shift: Schedule history on Home Team management lists On my way and Running late with who, about how many minutes, which shift and the time.
It never includes where the professional is: no map, no location and no distance. The minutes are the ones they picked. If the professional works through an agency, the agency office sees the same line on its Team tab; the office never sees anything about the patient's health.
