On your dashboard, the block under Your shift today (where Clock in lives) shows On my way from 2 hours before your shift starts until 30 minutes after it. Tap it, then pick about how many minutes away you are: 10, 20, 30, 45 or 60. The family is told right away in these words: Sam is on the way to Sample. About 20 minutes. (your first name and the patient's first name). Everyone in the family who has phone notifications on gets a notification, and the family members who turned texts on get a text.
Then the block shows the time you sent it and Running late. If you will be later than you said, tap Running late and pick about how many more minutes: the family gets Sam is running late. About 10 more minutes. You can send On my way once and Running late at most twice for a shift; after that the block says so, and calling the family is the way to tell them more. Once you clock in, the block goes back to the clock alone.
ExpressAgain never sends where you are with it: no map, no location and no distance. The family sees only the minutes you picked. The phone never asks for your location for On my way.
Each one is logged on the shift: the family's Schedule history shows On my way, who, about how many minutes, which shift and the time it was sent. The family's Status Board shows Sam is on the way · about 20 minutes (sent 2:41 PM) until you clock in, and if you work through an agency, the agency office sees the same line next to your name on its Team tab.
On my way is there only for a shift on your schedule in this home. A shift you are not scheduled for, or more than 2 hours away, shows nothing.
