Change my hours: leaving early, arriving late, or a shift or days you can't work

On each upcoming shift, Change my hours tells the family privately that you are leaving early or arriving late at a time, can't work the shift, or can't work some days, and can put the hours you can't work on Open shifts.

Change my hours is on every shift in Your schedule on My shifts (the next seven days), on a shift card in My week, and under Your shift today on the care-team dashboard. It opens one sheet with the shift filled in.

Pick what is changing. Leaving early: pick the time you leave, and the sheet says what that means, for example You work 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM. 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM is uncovered. Arriving late: pick the time you arrive. Can't work this shift: the whole shift. Can't work these days: pick From and Through (up to 31 days); every shift of yours in this home on those days is given up, and the days are added to the dates away in your own availability. Something else sends a private note, as before.

Why is optional: Appointment, Sick, Family or Other, and a note. A sick call-out never costs you points or a perfect week. Only the family reads the reason and the note (and your agency office, when you work for this client through an agency); the line under the note says who, for example Only Sample sees this.

Ask someone to pick up the uncovered hours is ticked at first. For leaving early or arriving late it posts an open shift for exactly the hours you can't work, on that day only; it is on Open shifts for the rest of the team and in the family's schedule, without your reason. For a whole shift or some days, each shift goes on Open shifts as Can't make it always did. Untick it and the family still sees the uncovered hours and can find coverage themselves.

After you send it, the shift in Your schedule shows the hours you work and a line such as Leaving at 11:00 AM · 11:00 AM–2:00 PM on Open shifts. Take it back undoes the change until the shift starts, as long as nobody has taken the hours yet; the open hours come off Open shifts and the family is told. Your clock-in and clock-out work as always: your time and pay follow the times you actually clock.

The time you leave or arrive must still be ahead and inside the shift. One change per shift: to change it again, take it back first.
