Calling out of a shift

I can't make it sends a private notice to the family (and the agency, when the professional works through one), and can offer the shift on Open shifts without the reason; nurses, doctors and the rest of the team never see the notice.

When a professional can't make a shift, is running late or needs time off, I can't make it sends it privately. It opens from three places: the I can't make it link under Your shift today on the care-team dashboard, Can't make it — offer it to the team on each day of Your schedule (My shifts), and the same button on a shift card in My week. From the team feed, Send privately opens it too.

The sheet asks which shift (filled in when it came from one, or Not about one shift), what it is (Can't make it, Running late, Time off or Other), and an optional reason, with the line Only Sample sees this (the family's first name), or Only Sample and the agency's name see this when the professional works for this client through an agency. For Can't make it with a shift picked, Offer my shift to the team is ticked: the shift goes on Open shifts exactly as Can't make it always did, reading Sample can't make it, and the rest of the team is told. The reason never goes with it.

Who sees a notice: the family's owner and caregiver-role accounts, the professional who sent it (as Sent privately to Sample under Your schedule), and, only when the professional works through an agency for this client, that agency's office: its office login in this home and its administrators and office people. Nurses, doctors, therapists, the rest of the Home Team, family-tier members and friends never see it, and another agency never does. The server checks this on every read.

Where the family reads them: My Home Team, then Staffing notices (the link under the page title), or the link in the email. They are listed newest first with who sent them, their role, the shift, the reason and where it came from, and each has Mark handled. The family also gets an email and a phone notification that say who sent a shift notice and what kind, never the reason; nothing goes by text message.

Where the agency reads them: an agency office login sees Private notices from your professionals at the top of Open shifts in the client's home, with Mark handled, and gets the same email and phone notification. On the agency workspace, Today's Needs attention lists each open notice from the agency's own professionals as a Shift notice (who, the client, the shift) for the administrators and the office, without the reason.

On the team feed, a professional's post that reads like a call-out brings up This sounds like a shift notice with Send privately and Post to the team anyway; it never blocks the post. The family managers can move a professional's post that is already there with Move to private.
