What professionals used from the kitchen and the supplies

When something in the kitchen or the supplies is used by a professional rather than for the patient, choose A professional before taking it off: it comes off the count under that person's name, stays off the patient's meal log, and shows on the What professionals used card by person and by item.

Families asked a fair question: what if the professional starts drinking all the water, or uses the patient's towels? Menu & Kitchen and Supplies keep that apart from what the patient used, without making it a big deal.

Who's taking it? sits above the list on What's in the kitchen and on Supplies, for the family and for the professionals who can take things off. It has two choices: the patient's first name, and A professional. With the patient's name chosen, the minus works as it always has (in the kitchen it logs what the patient ate or drank). With A professional chosen, a small box asks for the person's name (Your name), and the minus takes the item off the kitchen or the supplies under that name; nothing goes on the patient's meal log or record, and nothing goes to the care team.

On Health Tracking, the Meals tab asks Who ate? the same way: the patient's name logs the patient's meal, and A professional — only takes it off the kitchen counts the food down without logging a meal for the patient.

The What professionals used card is lower on Menu & Kitchen and on Supplies. The strip at the top of each page has a tile, Used by professionals this week, with the count; tap it to jump to the card. The card switches between This week and Last 30 days and lists it two ways: By person (each name, how many things, and each item with the amount and the last day) and By item (each item, the amount and who used it). Pieces and whole packs (on Supplies), or servings and whole containers (in the kitchen), are listed separately and never added together. When nothing was used by a professional, it says so.

History, at the bottom of each page, covers the last 30 days and has the box Only what professionals used. A line there reads, for example, Sam used 2 × towels (professional), or, for food a professional logged on the Meals tab of Health Tracking, Sam ate 1 serving of crackers at lunch (professional's meal).

It is a record of use, never a charge: it does not touch pay, invoices or the professional's profile. Friends and the agency office never see the kitchen or the supplies.
