One person, one login. A professional who works in your home on their own and also for an agency, or for two agencies, keeps the one login they already have. On their profile, Ways {name} works here lists each way: On their own (Myself), with their own invoice, and Through {Agency} for each agency, with that agency's invoice. Each way has its own hourly rate and starts on a date you can see. The agency itself keeps its own login and email, separate from the professional's.
Adding a way. The owner or a caregiver-role account opens Add a way of working on the profile: On their own (Myself) needs a start date and an hourly rate, and starts on that date. Through {Agency} lists the agencies that have an office login in your home; it starts once the agency and the professional have both said yes. An agency can also add the professional from its own office login with Add a staff member, using the professional's email or cell: when they already have a login in your home, no second login is made; the ask waits under My profile in the professional's own login, and they tap Accept. A professional can say I work here through an agency under My profile; the agency confirms it from its Team tab. You set each agency way's rate on the card with Set rate, and End stops a way from a date without touching the login, the other ways or anything already worked.
Who each shift is for. A slot can say who it is for (Who each slot is for, on the profile): a clock-in during that slot needs no question. When nothing says, the clock asks Who is this shift for? with one button per way, and the shift goes on that invoice at that rate. Someone with one way never sees the question. One login means one open shift: a professional is never clocked in twice, whichever way. The professional or the family can change who a shift was for until it is on an invoice (Who each shift was for); the change is stamped with who made it. An agency can never move a shift into or out of its own way.
Money. The professional's own invoice holds only their Myself shifts, at their own rate, with their own pay week and overtime. Each agency's invoice holds only the shifts worked through it, at the rate set for that agency, with that agency's pay week and overtime; overtime is counted on each way's own hours. A shift that crosses the pay week's midnight is split there, as always. The family sees the combined hours as a line of information only.
What each agency sees. An agency's office sees only the shifts, hours, slots, invoices and pay-release days of the work done through it: never the professional's own work, their own rate or another agency's. It never sees a professional's pay handles, bank details, W-9, W-4, I-9 or direct-deposit form, for anyone. When the agency removes the professional from your home, only its way ends; the login stays when they still work there another way. If an agency asks for a time the professional already has, it is only told Not available then.
Two logins for one person. If a professional really does have two separate accounts in your home, One person on two logins still keeps them from being on the clock at once.
Step by step
- 1Open My Home Team and the professional's profile.
- 2Under Ways {name} works here, open Add a way of working, pick On their own (Myself) or Through {Agency}, the start date and (for Myself) the rate, and tap Add.
- 3Open Who each slot is for and pick who each slot is for, or leave Ask at clock-in.
- 4As the professional: under Settings, My profile, tap Accept on an agency's ask; at the clock, answer Who is this shift for? when it asks.
- 5As the agency's office: on Team, tap Confirm under Waiting for your yes.
