Some products carry only Amazon's own label (a code starting with X00) and some real barcodes are in no public database. When the lookup finds nothing, the app says so and offers Take a picture (the in-app camera reads the label and guesses the product) or Add by hand with the code carried along. Either way the code is remembered: the next scan of that label answers from your own list. If the camera cannot read a picture, an amber line says so instead of a blank card.
A barcode will not scan or is not recognized
Amazon-only labels and unknown barcodes are handled by typing the code, taking a picture or adding by hand — and remembered for next time.
