When one of your professionals changes their hours for a client

When a professional you place leaves early, arrives late or can't work a shift or some days, your office sees it on Open shifts in the client's home with Find coverage, on Today, and on your calendar; the family sees it too.

A professional who works for a client through your agency uses Change my hours on their shift. The private notice goes to the family and to your office, and the family's banner and grid show it as for any professional on their Home Care Team.

In the client's home, your office login's Open shifts tab shows the change at the top: for example Sample is leaving early today at 11:00 AM — 11:00 AM–2:00 PM is uncovered, with Short notice when it was sent less than 24 hours ahead. Find coverage lists your own professionals in that home; pick one and tap Put them on it, and they are on those hours (they are told the way an assigned shift always tells them). The same rules as covering an open shift apply: the family's medication block and confirmation, an overdue credential when the family's block is on, and Getting started. OK, noted takes the line away for you and records it.

For a whole shift given up, the open shift is on the same tab, where Cover with one of my staff works as before. Your office sees only your own professionals' changes, never another agency's or the family's own people.

On your workspace, Today's Needs attention lists the open notice, with the hours left uncovered for leaving early or arriving late (never the reason). On the calendar, By client and By worker draw the shift with the hours worked and the uncovered hours as their own card until an open shift is posted for them. Your office logins get a phone notification with fixed words, the professional's first name only.

Step by step

  1. 1Open the client's home with your office login and go to Open shifts.
  2. 2Tap Find coverage on the change, pick one of your professionals and tap Put them on it.
  3. 3Or tap OK, noted when you know about it.
